NTRC’s World Telecommunication & Information Society Day (WTISD) Video Competition
WTISD has been celebrated annually on May 17 since 1969, for the purpose of raising awareness on the opportunities that the use of the Internet and other information and communication technologies (ICT) can bring to societies and economies, as well as of ways to bridge the digital divide. For 2024, the NTRC has decided to join the ITU to offer participants a chance to explore how digital innovation can help connect everyone and unlock sustainable prosperity for all.
Theme: Digital Innovation for Sustainable Development
Competition rules
- Age range 7 – 18 years
- You must attend a primary or secondary school.
- The video must not be longer than 2 minutes.
- The video must be in relation to the theme, Digital Innovation for Sustainable Development.
- The video must be submitted to the NTRC’s WhatsApp 784 457 2279 no later than May 15, 2024 at 4pm.
- The following information should also be submitted along with each video to WhatsApp as listed below

Primary
1st place – Samsung Galaxy Tablet
2nd place – $250 cash
Primary School with most entries- (1) ViewSonic Projector and (1) JBL Bluetooth Speaker
Secondary
1st place – HP Laptop
2nd place – $500 cash
Secondary School with most entries- (1) ViewSonic Projector and (1) JBL Bluetooth Speaker
